Adrian Mutu netted a brace as Fiorentina defeated Bolognna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara to rise to fifth in Serie A.

The result secured back-to-back wins for the Viola, while struggling Bologna remain just four points above the relegation zone.

Romania international Mutu opened the scoring on six minutes before doubling his side’s advantage prior to the break.

Bologna pulled one back through Nicola Mingazzini but Alberto Gilardino sealed the win for the visitors in injury-time.
