Mutu scored and Prandelli was satisfied
‘We played like a team’ said Cesare Prandelli after the victory of Fiorentina over Catania. He praised the Viola’s team spirit after the 2-0 victory against Catania in Florence.
We played an excellent match, they were camped in our half but we did very well to contain them and counterattack,” he said. ”I saw a fine Fiorentina, perhaps the best of the season.
“We were a team in the true meaning of the word, we never showed nervousness and weren’t frenetic.”
Adrian Mutu opened the score early in the second half, and Alberto Gilardino sealed the victory with a goal scored 11 minutes before full time.
“Today Gilardino missed a few chances today, but in the end his anger and his desire to score allowed him to get the second goal,” Prandelli continued. “In the first half we found some difficulties, but in the second half we did well to find the space necessary to score.
Napoli are one point ahead of the Viola, who are in 5th place with 29 points.
