Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu will be out of action for two weeks with a groin injury suffered during the Champions League 1-1draw with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Mutu, who scorred a stunning goal early in the tie, played the full 90 minutes but had a scan the following day which revealed the problem. ”The medical tests performed on Adrian Mutu have revealed a first degree muscular lesion to the adductor,” read a brief statement on the club’s website. ”We have already started the physiotherapy treatment to allow Mutu to return to action in two weeks.”
