Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu faces a spell out of action, but does not require surgery on a knee injury.

The 29-year-old missed the midweek goalless draw with Internationale due to ongoing problems with his right knee, with La Viola concerned about Mutu’s condition. Club doctor, Paolo Manetti, commented: ” We have decide to take a conservative approach, so we will not operate on his knee. This is the best solution and we believe everything will work out fine. Adrian has been sufferig recently and his injury was aggravated during the match against Palermo”.
